This list of online resources is not all-inclusive, but includes sites our patients have used. We do not endorse one over another, but have found them helpful. 

A Storm in my Brain: Kids and Mood Disorders (Bipolar Disorder and Depression) is a pdf written for children and parents to help understand depression and mania. Free.

ADHDKC.org is Kansas City’s Non-Profit CHADD Chapter. ADHDKC provides support for thousands of area parents/caregivers of ADHD kids & adults thriving with ADHD. They are committed to providing; monthly group meetings, community outreach & the most updated news/resources on ADHD. ADHDKC was created to build awareness while countering myths & misunderstandings associated with ADHD. Dr. Stuppy is active in this organization and encourages all families affected by ADHD to join!

CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is the nation’s leading non-profit organization serving individuals with ADHD and their families. CHADD has over 16,000 members in 200 local chapters throughout the U.S. Chapters offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, professionals, and others.

Decoding Dyslexia has a list of KC Metro area resources for dyslexia testing and treatment.

Dyslexia resources from the Kansas Chapter of the AAP Dyslexia Task Force.

Psychology Today offers an online search of therapists by city or zip code. 

Families Together, Inc provides training, resources, and individual assistance to Kansas families who have children with disabilities or special health care needs at no cost.

Learning Disabilities Association of Kansas is a nonprofit dedicated to identifying causes of and promoting prevention of learning disabilities and to enhance the quality of life of those with learning disabilities.

Mental Health America provides information on mental health topics, such as depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, children of divorce, and more.

Moms Of SPD Kids provides support for those affected by Sensory Processing Disorder. 

Shawnee Mission Special Education PTA allows members from any local school district for any special needs child, ranging from learning disabiltities, autism, and more.

SPD Foundation provides resources for those with Sensory Processing Disorder. 

Find a certified ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) provider at Behavior Analyst Certification Board. (Area providers also listed below.)
