Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment or seeing another provider, if available.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
Routine Appointment Cancellations
We understand that situations arise in which you must cancel an appointment. It is therefore requested that if you must cancel your appointment, you provide at least 24 hours notice. Office appointments which are cancelled with less than 24 hours notification may be subject to a cancellation fee.
As a courtesy to our patients we will attempt to send one appointment reminder either by phone, email or text. The cancellation fee remains the sole responsibility of the patient even if the courtesy reminder is not received.
Our office attempts to stay open for normal business hours during all weather, but for the safety of our staff and patients we will close if there are dangerous weather conditions in the area. If we close, we will post to our Facebook page and the Home Page of our website. If weather conditions are questionable, please check these resources prior to leaving home.
We are often open even when local schools close. If we are open but you do not feel comfortable driving to an appointment due to weather, please call the office to reschedule.
We will not apply our usual less than 24 hour cancellation fee for weather related rescheduled appointments if we are under official weather advisories.
If you do choose to keep your appointment:
- plan on driving slow - allow extra driving time
- drive safely
- have enough gas
- bring a charged cell phone
- keep blankets in the car
- buckle everyone in safely (see Winter Weather Tips from The Car Seat Lady)
