Teaching Future Healthcare Professionals

We strive to not only provide the best medical care to our patients, but also to help train the next generation of healthcare providers.

We support students from local nursing and medical schools as well as pediatric residents at Children's Mercy by allowing them to participate in supervised care of our patients with your permission. We hope that you welcome them but will respect your wishes if you do not wish to have a learner involved in your care.

Fun fact: We first met Dr. Carter when he was a medical student shadowing our physicians!
