“When I grow up…”

This phrase is uttered by ambitious children everywhere. Maybe one hopes to be a fireman, another a teacher, but not often do we hear children hope for the one thing that matters most to me … that they grow up with healthy habits for a lifetime.

I decided early in my career that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping children — and parents — make choices that would help them live healthy, happy lives. I enjoy watching your children grow, and I would like the opportunity to care for them from infancy to adolescence. My role, however, is different at each stage of your child’s life. Early, you and I will partner together to make the best choices for your baby. As your baby grows, he or she becomes an integral part of the team as we all work together to keep the entire family healthy.

I am particularly interested in pediatric obesity and I enjoy working with families to both prevent and treat obesity.  As your child’s pediatrician, you can rest assured that I am committed to providing the best medical care, and I am excited to join in this journey with you and your family.

In my free time, I enjoy running for exercise and running to chase my three young children and yellow lab, Willie. My husband and I spend time at sporting events, school and church activities and with family.

Dr Ratliff has been at Pediatric Partners since 2011.
