Kids everywhere will be happy to know that the 2 dose schedule for HPV vaccine has been approved by the FDA from 9 to 14 years of age. Older kids still need three doses. If a child begins the HPV vaccine before their 15th birthday they will get 2 doses 6-12 months apart.
If a child begins the HPV vaccine after their 15th birthday, they will need to get 3 doses.
If a child has already gotten a second dose less than 6 months from the first, he / she will need a third dose.
